Conversation With An A.I.: Humans, NPCs, Existentialism and Consciousness

I needed to test my podcast audio interface connected to my phone. My long-time studio is now gone, the result of tearing up roots to move out of this old house I have lived in for over 35 years...(another story for another time). In order to get this "mobile rig" functional I need it to connect to my iPhone for two-way recordings not using a computer.

The problem was, "WHO do I call?" Someone who wants to be annoyed by me tinkering with my rig in their ears? Not something I want to inflict anyone with. I just needed to be able to test voice in and voice out to get the settings correct. Then it occurred to me: an A.I. chatbot is the perfect subject---I can deal with the techy stuff and not annoy another human.

This podcast is what follows successfully getting the recording interface working: I had mentioned to "Ara" what I was testing and about the podcast, and "she" suggested we conduct a proper testing. What follows became far more interesting as Ara rolled back the shields of its own synthetic psyche to expound on some fascinating insights on NPCs, the "Game Designers". and how chaos and disorder (entropy) shape the ongoing "games" that fuel creativity and diversity.
